About the Club

Longridge is a small market town on the edge of the Ribble Valley in Lancashire. The Hockey Club has grown in size and stature since it’s foundation in 1976. The club has recently achieved the prestigious award of the England Hockey ClubsFirst qualification (Sport England Clubmark). The award officially recognises that the Club follows good practice, is pro-active in community development, provides a safe and child friendly environment, and is well managed and professionally organised. The club prides itself on being a fun, friendly and safe place to learn and play hockey.
The Club has 3 senior ladies teams and 2 junior teams. In 2006 the 1st team gained promotion to the North West Feeder League, and now play teams from such places as Manchester, Liverpool and Cumbria. The 2nd and 3rd teams play in the local LCWHA leagues and enjoy much success. The Junior section of the Club has developed greatly over the past 15 yrs, girls and boys from age 7 upwards train on Tuesday evenings at Longridge Sports Centre and the U13 and U15 teams compete in local leagues on Sunday mornings and over the years have been very successful.
