A double pitch booking at Bispham College meant that the Blackpool 1sts fixture against Longridge 2nds had to be played as a shortened game. Unfortunately, in the first half it was Blackpool who took the advantage and made Longridge chase the ball. Round 1 of the Lishman Plate tournament, saw Blackburn 3rds take on Longridge 3rds. The game was played out in glorious sunshine throughout and Longridge, playing in their new team shirts certainly did justice to their team, club and team sponsors, Riverside Recoveries. Despite conceding an early goal in the opening minutes, it was clear that Longridge were going to be the more dominant team on the pitch, picking out their players with ease and only allowing Blackburn an occasional push forward. 3rd Team Match Report: 25/10/08

Playing their first fixture on the home side’s resurfaced pitch, Longridge 3rds had a tough fixture against Chorley & Leyland 2nds. Despite all best efforts, the attack of Chorley & Leyland could not be withstood, going down a goal by the end of the first half. The second half saw Longridge play with a little more shape which led to an equaliser from Bronte Edgar following some good passing play between the forwards. Read More »

Halloween Family Disco

This Friday, 31st October, Longridge Hockey Club is hosting a Family Halloween Disco at St Wilfrid’s Club, Longridge. Tickets are available on the night, priced £2 Adults, £1 Children (£5 for a family ticket).With doors opening at 7.30pm, and lots of spooky games planned and prizes for the best fancy dress and best pumpkin, this is sure to be a fun-filled night for all to enjoy!
